Top Spring Activities in Victoria

Spring is almost here, and after the winter we’ve had, we couldn't be more excited. Bring on the cherry blossom blooms and warmer temperatures! Plus, spring brings with it a whole new slate of fun activities. From strolling along Ogden Point to cruising around the harbour on a water taxi, check out the top spring activities to do in Victoria. 

Victoria Harbour Ferry

A stone’s throw away from the Days Inn Victoria on the Harbour is the Victoria Harbour Ferry. To gain a new perspective on the city, there’s nothing better than zipping around the harbour by boat. The Victoria Harbour Ferry has water taxis that can take you to various stops along the harbour and gorge. However, they also offer guided tours ranging from 45 to 60 minutes in length.  

Ogden Point Breakwater

There’s nowhere better to go for an oceanside walk than Ogden Point. The Ogden Point Breakwater features a pathway over 850 metres in length that stretches out over the water. Walking along the breakwater is best on a sunny day but can be exciting on a rainy day if you enjoy storm watching. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, as visitors have been known to see everything from octopuses to starfish. Finally, after enjoying a morning stroll at Ogden Point, we recommend making your way to nearby Beacon Hill Park for a picnic. 

The Abkhazi Garden

Victoria is full of beautiful gardens but few are as stunning as Abkhazi Garden. Commissioned by Prince and Princess Abkhazi back in 1946, Abhkazi Garden is a heritage home and garden open to the public. The garden and on-site tearoom are open year-round from Wednesday to Sunday. The tearoom offers a range of high tea services including the Royal Abkhazi High Tea and a more basic Afternoon Tea.
