Winterbrau 2019
For the eighth year in a row, on November 9th and 10th Winterbrau is back! It’s bigger and it’s better! This year, they have added an additional day for the festivities and will be having more than 20 local breweries concocting their best winter brews! In addition to the beers, executive chef Kyle will be preparing some complimentary hors d’oeuvres to top off your taste buds. For just $68.25 you will have access to the event, beer tasters and snacks. This event is a 19+ event, which will be held at the Canoe Brewpub located on 450 Swift St, Victoria, from 1 -5 pm, so come on down with your friends and family, and enjoy a night out. Make sure you plan for a safe ride home as you will for sure be having more than just a pint!
Holidays Gifts Galore Craft Sale
For almost half a century, Juan de Fuca Arts and Crafts Guild and friends have been holding the Christmas Craft Sale at St. Joseph’s School Gym, and every year it’s a huge success! This year, it is still held at St. Joseph’s School Gym (757 Burnside Road West, Victoria) on Saturday, November 9 from 9 am to 4:30 pm and on Sunday, November 10 from 1 pm to 4:30 pm. Along with traditional favourites, there will be new vendors displaying impressive handiwork, such as baked goods, quilting, jams, soaps, toys and gifts for the whole family. There will also be Christmas decorations and ornaments, jewellery and much much more. Alongside great craftsmanship and creativity, everything is made locally! And while you’re venturing through the many different displays, there will be live entertainment: Guitarist Brad Prevedoros on Saturday and Ron Berod on keyboard on Sunday. Admission is free, so come start your Christmas shopping early.
Isle Tease of Burlesque
With its first year on Vancouver Island, Isle Tease of Burlesque is one of a kind, showcasing a Canadian Burlesque legend, exquisite headliners, the finest talent locally and internationally! On November 15-16, come down to the Victoria Conference Centre and join in on exclusive community events or maybe dare to take a sexy and thrilling workshop taught by world-renowned burlesque artists and performers. Isle Tease of Burlesque supports and celebrates artists of all stripes and backgrounds, including Indigenous and LGBTQ artists. Nightly passes are between $40-60 and weekend passes range from $75-200. Doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm.
