Victoria is unique because it is a lively town on the easily accessible island. There is a vibrant community filled with established families, but also youth flocking into the local university. This means this city is always up to a variety of things for its various citizens! Here are two to sample that might actually connect all demographics together.
Moon Festival Lantern Celebration
On September 14, 2019 head on over to the Gordon Head Recreation Centre and Lambrick Park from 5 PM to 8 PM. This event celebrates the Asian culture appreciation of the lantern. Celebrations include traditional dances put on by some community groups. The evening fully entails some lantern-making workshops, musical performances, tea, mooncakes (yum), and of course a lantern procession. Admission is free.
