Family Day is almost here, taking place on Monday, February 21, 2022. This relatively new holiday is a welcome addition for all, but especially families who can take this opportunity to spend some quality time with one another. Family Day at the Sidney Museum
The Sidney Museum is hosting a special Family Day festival all weekend long. The event will feature a virtual Lego Trivia night (in honour of their Lego Brick Exhibition that is currently on display), a town-wide scavenger hunt, behind-the-scenes videos, and much more! Of course, the Sidney Museum will also be open throughout the weekend, giving families a chance to check out their permanent and rotating exhibits.
Free Family Day at Royal Athletic Park
This year, for the first time only, Royal Athletic Park is hosting an entirely free Family Day extravaganza. Taking place on Monday, February 21st from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm and organized by the City of Victoria, this fun event is suitable for all ages. It is set to feature music, event stations, mini-field soccer, a bouncy castle, a bocce area, and base running with Harvey the Harbour Cats mascot. There will also be complimentary light refreshments available.
Victoria Butterfly Gardens
Head to one of Victoria’s best family-friendly attractions, Butterfly Gardens, for a Family Day you’ll never forget. Located in Brentwood Bay, Victoria Butterfly Gardens provides the unique opportunity for people of all ages to get up close and personal with tropical jungle wildlife. More than butterflies, you and your family will be able to marvel at exotic birds, frogs, lizards, tortoises, and even flamingos. It is sure to be a memorable experience!
